We are pleased to add SileStone® to our
line of products. After you select a color and edge in our
showroom, we measure the job, and create a template for your
order. Fabrication is done in Houston from material
manufactured at the Cosentino facility in Spain. As a
distributor of SileStone®, Bolfing Brothers Marble Inc.’s
trained employees will install the material. You have a
choice of materials, but with each you are choosing a
company whose service and quality you know. We take care of
business and we want yours.
Our
goal to provide the builder and homeowner the finest
materials available in function and appearance.
SileStone® is a
strong and beautiful quartz surface quite different from
either natural granite, cultured marble, or solid surface
materials. Most often used in kitchen applications,
SileStone® is also appropriate for vanities, showers and
floors. It is a superior surface composed of natural
quartz, with the best features of natural stone and few of
the limitations. It is an extremely hard surface, heat
resistant and stain resistant. Durable, neither layered
like slate nor permeable like granite, or porous like real
marble, it has a virtually indestructible shine that never
needs sealing. Custom kitchen counters are fabricated from
large slabs with various edges and minimal seams.

Care and
Maintenance of SileStone® is mostly common sense. Use old
fashioned soap and water, no harsh chemicals, solvents or
permanent markers, scrape off “gunk” that hardens and
sticks. Use a trivet for something extremely hot out of the
oven and use a cutting board to protect your sharp knives!
Oil or polish is not necessary to maintain the beautiful
shine and smooth finish.

Leaders say SileStone® is a
rock-solid product

...C&C, the
Stafford-based company created to distribute
SileStone® on
this continent. C&C's goal is to make SileStone® a household
word and a popular feature in homes.
And the first lesson its president and
CEO Roberto Contreras Jr. gives the uninitiated is a
definition of SileStone® as a brand-name synonym for what
they always describe as a "natural quartz" surface —
manufactured slabs that are 93 percent mined and pulverized
quartz mixed with resin binders.
"Really, it's a new
product category in kitchen countertops and bathroom
vanities," said Contreras, who started the Stafford venture
in 1998.
What Formica is to
plastic laminate countertops and Corian is to solid acrylic
surfaces, SileStone® wants to be to quartz surfacing.
"SileStone® is the
key reference in the quartz surfacing sector worldwide; we
are the biggest producers," said Santiago Alfonso Rodriguez,
Cosentino's marketing manager in Almeria, Spain. "When some
products get more than 20 percent of market share in some
categories, like kitchen countertops, it's very predictable
that your brand becomes a 'generic descriptor.' "
